The table shows results for a range of cars tested by EURONCAP> Each has a star rating for front and side impacts as well as for the effects on pedestrians. A sample of the results shown are:

1997 Audi A3 gained 4 stars out of five for the crash test and 2 out of five for the pedestrian test. The same results were obtained for a 1999 Ford Focus.

A 2001 Honda Civic scored 4 out of 5 in the crash test and 3 out of 5 for the pedestrian test. This was the best car in terms of pedestrian impacts in the sample shown.
