Buses, and other public transport, is better for the environment. It is cheap, efficient and moves millions of people to and from work every day. There should be more bus lanes to encourage even more passengers.

But....

Buses pump out lots of pollution into our city centres. Many do not have seat belts and in an accident they are really dangerous. They cause congestion and a pedestrian knocked down by one has no chance.

So what are the facts?
