What could be healthier than walking. Too many people use their car for short journeys. Walking does not cause pollution or congestion and it is good for your heart.

But....

Walking is too slow to be a useful way of getting about. Elderly people cannot walk too far and there are many pedestrians killed in accidents each year. It's safer and more convenient to use the car.
